I am a 4th year Ph.D. student in the lab of Jim DeCaprio. I received my Bachelor of Science in Microbiology with distinction from the University of Minnesota in 2016 and worked on herpes simplex type-1 (HSV-1) in the lab of Stephen Rice until late 2017. From there, I joined the Virology PhD Program at Harvard University with an interest in viral-driven cancers. In the DeCaprio lab, my work focuses on de novo nucleotide biosynthesis in Merkel Cell Carcinoma (MCC), specifically the role of Merkel Cell Polyomavirus (MCV) T-antigens in driving expression of IMPDH2 to prevent cellular nucleotide imbalances.
