I am a fifth year graduate student in the Harvard virology PhD program. I received my bachelor's degree from Bates College where I completed a senior thesis studying the effect of ubiquitin-mediated degradation of the encephalomyocarditis virus protease on viral replication. In the DeCaprio lab, I study mechanisms of Merkel cell polyomavirus transcriptional regulation with the goal of identifying therapeutic vulnerabilities for Merkel cell carcinoma. I am interested in integrating sequencing data to gain a nuanced understanding of transcriptional regulatory processes and how they are disrupted during oncogenesis. Outside of the lab, I enjoy yoga, playing board games, and spending time with my family.
