I grew up in Mumbai, India. After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology from 'D.Y. Patil University', I moved to the US for graduate studies. For my graduate training, I worked in the laboratory of Dr. Larisa Litovchick at 'Virginia Commonwealth University' where I characterized the protein- protein interaction network of DYRK1A- a kinase involved  in Down syndrome and certain cancers. For my postdoc at the DeCaprio lab, I am interested in understanding the role of certain specific protein complexes that could be involved in the pathogenesis of Merkel Cell Carcinoma. Apart from research, my interests include hiking, painting and practicing Yoga.
